My first flower box pop up card–Using printed papers from Chocolate Baroque

clare 1

I has so much fun making this one. I created my own template for the pop up box and was careful with the placement of shaped flowers – so that the card folded down ok for placing in an envelope.

I am just loving making paper flowers – Testing out my new dies from Sissix Susan’s Garden and Spellbinders.

I was lucky enough to get some bargains on some used dies that I have been eyeing up for a while. I also got myself a foam mat and a decent set of flower shaping tools – great stuff – now I am flying. All were created from white card and coloured using Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. I love the way the ink sinks through and colours both sides of the card at once.

dogwood

I used Sissix Susan's Garden Dogwood Die to cut the shapes. Really pleased with the leaves – they look so real.

Sissix Susan's Garden Flowering Quince Die to cut the shapes with a bit of Flower Soft on the stamens.

Sissix Susan's Garden Mini Lily Die to cut the shapes.

Sissix Susan's Garden Forsythia Die to cut the shapes. A bit OTT on the Flower Soft here but fairly pleased with the results.

Sunflower

Created from Spellbinders ‘Create a Sunflower’ die. Like the way these emboss and cut. Centre could do with a little more texture and perhaps a bit more shading on the petals.

Created from Spellbinders ‘Create an Aster’ die.

flowers2

Created from Spellbinders ‘Create a Daisy’ die. Oooooh – my favourite!

Created from Spellbinders ‘Create an Iris’ die. Really pleased with the colouring.

I think that creating flowers could be another addiction!
